Pricing: $30 ($26.55 + HST)
This workshop uses specific imagery and the mechanics of gravity to ride the natural momentum created when catching and releasing the body through space. Short dances explore different ways to access this “released” way of moving where muscular control is used sparingly for quirky gestures or to manipulate the bones of the body to allow for play with weight. Flow is sustained by core support and by a relationship with the music. From beginning to end, floor to air, the class focuses on internal body awareness, moving through space and above all else, a feeling of expression through dancing, on internal body awareness, moving through space and above all else, a feeling of expression through dancing, on internal body awareness, moving through space and above all else, a feeling of expression through dancing.
