Below is the poster design for our upcoming production, Departure, designed by SCD's own Jessica Ransom. The image merges a photo taken at the MacLaren Art Centre by local photographer Andre Beneteau and features dancers Regan McQuoid, Nadege Blackhall and Jessica Ransom in a piece by Sarah Lochhead. The myriad of colourful dots is a silkscreen design by local artist Robin Lumoa that Lochhead saw at her last showing at Awkward Stage gallery.
Lumoa's image will also be incorporated into the costumes for Lochhead's piece "It goes without me."
FYI: Robin Lumoa has another show opening at Awkward Stage this weekend in collaboration with local artist Ashley Mayer entitled "Think Twice."
