Today I spoke with Ms. Mills' careers class at Banting Memorial High School. I talked about my career path and how events unfolded leading me to start Simcoe Contemporary Dancers.
They had an excellent variety of questions about the challenges and opportunities of a career in the arts. It was wonderful to have an opportunity to share with them.
After a stroll downtown in the sun. I was off to the Gibson Centre for a tour. It is a lovely facility with an art gallery, weavers guild, theatre, cafe and arts council offices all under one roof. Looking forward to expanding our local reach through potential events there!
All in all a fantastic day of outreach with a touch of a mini morning "stay-cation."

Simcoe Contemporary Dancers is a not-for-profit professional company by and for the region of Simcoe County that exists to encourage and showcase the development of local professional contemporary dance. We come together to raise the visibility of contemporary dance, create awareness, build educational opportunities, and reach out to our public to share our love of our art form.
