Today we went to the MOMA and I was drawn into the works of Monet. I was amazed at how fluid a solid object could be and how etheral the waterlilies seemed on the canvas. It was like they were hovering above the the canvas itself.
It reminded me to not be such a slave to gravity.
Overall it gave me a feeling of not worrying about technique but appreciating the artistry itself. Everything is so connected on the canvas. It is about stepping back and seeing the whole picture and having an appreciation for the brush strokes but not fixating on the strokes themselves.
