Celebrating International Women's Day with an invitation ...

Dear Simcoe Contemporary Dancers' fans,

Today (March 8th) is International Women's Day!
I can't help but pause and think of how fortunate I am to be sitting here writing this to you - recognized as a person, with the right to vote, able to own property and make my own life choices.
I'm sure we all have at least one woman (if not many more)  in our personal lives who have helped shape who we are.

Through friendship, mentorship, motherhood, sisterhood, as teachers, guides and colleagues, they have helped us grow, learn and discover ourselves.

These are just some of the threads that tangle and wind their way through our upcoming performance Woven

We have had the pleasure of working with the amazing Trish Armstrong, a veteran of Canadian modern dance. We are remounting four of her solo choreographies and connecting them with two of my solo creations.Together with director and writer, Nancy Pottage, and the stellar performers of Simcoe Contemporary Dancers, we are pleased to invite you to save the date for this unique, local, artistic dance experience.

We also invite you to bring your own mug and enjoy a complimentary cup of tea!
The show is suitable for all ages.

I encourage you to keep tuned to our blog for behind the scenes sneak peeks and other musings.

Please help us spread the word about this incredible event.

P.S. This would be an amazing Mother's Day gift!
