Simcoe Contemporary Dancers season kick-off

This weekend marks the official start to our fall season! Here’s what we have in store for the month of October …

Barrie Film Festival - Short Film Showcase: Saturday October 17th, 6:30pm-9:00pm
Imperial Cinemas
55 Dunlop St. W (Screen 1), Barrie ON
Admission: $9

Artistic Director Sarah Lochhead’s latest movement based film I almost forgot is screening as part of the Barrie Film Festival’s Short Film Showcase. The film features local dancers, Catherine Carpenko, Carla Dermott, Wendy Hutchinson, Stacie Miller and Kasha Pinel.

All of the short films that will be screened this night are eligible For the Bandito Video People’s Choice Award. Ballots for voting will be available at the screening.

Fall Classes: Sundays October 18th – December 6th, 11:00am-12:15pm

In an effort to cultivate an environment of financial sustainability, we have amalgamated our elementary/intermediate class with our company class. Material will be taught with options for various skill levels.
Drop in rate $15 ($12 CADA), Register for all eight fall classes for $80 (cash or cheque).
Classes open to ages 18+

Workshop for Midland area dance students

Artistic Director, Sarah Lochhead will be conducting a workshop for senior level dance student at The Dancers Studio in Midland on Sunday October 18th from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

Led by company dancer/choreographer Nikki Russell

This fall, company dancer Nikki Russell will be creating a new work to add to our repertoire. Stay tuned for sneak peaks, video blog posts, updates on in-studio showings and the big premier!
