On our first day of performances, we made our way to Memorial Square as scheduled. As we started to perform "Sea Anemone." We began to hear two people arguing quite loudly. I felt uncomfortable but as a group we kept dancing. Their young boy, maybe about five years old, walked closer to us, sat down and watched us dance. I remember hearing one person say, "What are they doing?"
The Arguing stopped.
After we performed the woman commented that she had taken Highland dance and Jazz as a child but now she lives on the streets. She commented that she enjoyed watching us dance and hoped to catch us again next week.
